Started by Emily. Last reply by james Nov 4, 2018. 13 Replies

We are interested in selling our 94.5 acres in Eldred Township. The mineral rights come with property. I did not know if anyone might know of any companies or people who might be interested. Thanks.

Nothing going on in Southern Columbus Twp. I did see on another thread the REX bought some leases from XTO in Butler County, XTO has some leases around here also.  REX has some much already around Columbus and Spring Creek, I would not be surprised to see some transfers in the future.

Anything going on in Columbus Twp. or Spring Creek Twp. as far as any new leasing activity goes? Anything new from Rex Energy or Rapid Realty?

It seems to be common practice for Swepi to secure multiple permits for a site, then only drill one or two wells. This is happening at some of their sites in Butler County. They have 6 permits for the Renick Pad in Butler, but are only drilling two wells. I think they are exploring & evaluating the results before drilling the rest of the wells.

It will be at least several months before they have any data from this first well. I guess they don't want to spend 8 - 9 million dollars drilling more wells until they have some proven results first. That is my guess anyways.

Pulling the drill rig after only drilling one of 6 permitted wells from the pad doesn’t strike me as being a positive sign for the site.  Any thoughts?

It was reported that the rig left the Hook Run Pad on Monday this week. They only drilled the 5HM well even though they have seven well permits all together for that pad. I attached the Hook Run Well Plats for anyone that might have missed it when I posted them on the main page.

Does anyone have an update on Shell’s (SWEPI) Hook Run well in Mead Township, Warren County, PA?  It’s my understanding that drilling began a while ago.  It’s also my understanding that they were targeting the Upper Devonian shale layer.

All quiet on the Western edge of Warren.  I know of one guy Rex is still calling - he has 100 acres with rex all around him.  I suspect they might be trying to get a unit formed for a test hole near Spring Creek.

I think we will need some results and additional holes in closer to us (from the SW - Crawford, Venango, etc) before we see any serious activity.
