"Thx for the info. For the life of me, I thought there was a unit in production NE of my land; I know better. I should have researched a little more. Wishful thinking onu part, hoping they would do something to get better numbers out of our unit!"

New wells being drilled in unit that's been in production for years?

My family and I are part of a unit in Guernsey County that has been in production for several years (the Donna well, Ascent). They have a drill rig recently set up, about ready to go. I checked permits thinking they may be (re)drilling the current laterals. However, the permits say it is new drilling. Is this possibly just semantics, as when you search permits, there are several types (ie, "convert...", "new...")? Or has there been changes to the required distance between laterals, so that new…See More

"Earl, do you know the target formations of these wells? The reason I ask is all the Marcellus wells that I have seen plats for, drill to the NW and SE; I have not seen an exception to this, so it is interesting that they may be trying a new…"

"I should have looked at the ODNR well locator map before I posted. I thought the land NW of the Betts well was also in a unit and drilled; it isn't. So it makes sense that they would use the same pad to drill an adjacent unit. At this point, I…"

New drilling on existing, producing pad?

My part-time neighbor (landowner, lives out of state, no mineral rights) got a letter for water testing due to the fact Ascent Resources wants to drill within 2000' of his property; specifically, the Betts LND GR Well Pad. This pad already has three wells, been in production well over a year, and does not have more room for any new laterals -- unless they are at a different depth (IMO). I've not been able to find out anything more. Can someone point me in the right direction for permits or…See More

No, but I decided I really did not need one.  I have no one to recommend.  Sorry.

Do you mind telling me who they sold their mineral rights to.  I live in Londonderry township as well and we are in an old HBP lease with Enervest.  We have received offers as well and selling 50% of the rights seem like maybe a good route to go.  Thanks.
