I think some companies are making a move toward the Ohio side in hopes of finding "wet gas" and oil in the Utica formation. Because of the price of natural gas and apparent abundance some are looking to balance their inventories to include oil producing zones, i.e. the utica shale. The further west you go in Ohio the more oil the Utica is likely to produce, or so I've been told.
