I heard a rumor today about SHELL. I heard that they were slowing down all drilling and shutting down drilling until 3D testing is done?  Could be up to 24 months.  Is this true?  Does anyone have any facts? What will happen to the commercial business and rental market in the area?

You should post this question on the Tioga County Group page also. A thread was posted related to new seismic in Tioga Co. not long ago. I believe it is mostly being contracted by Shell. I have no facts but it makes sense for them do it especially if they are preparing to do the wells. I pay attention to just one township but the permits have continued but not a crazy amount. So if they are holding off because they prefer to have more information I would say that is a good sign all around.
maybe shell is concentrating elsewhere?  any thoughts or rumors?
I drove around nc Tioga a couple days ago,I thought Shell was very active.Ihope the Neal well on rt 249 is good its a 6 horizontal and east started this sight so east picked the spot that makes me nervous? I guess if Shell didn't think it was a good spot they wouldn't drill it, lets all pray.
Shell is focusing now in Nothern Butler county, Pa. They recently opened a new office in the city of Butler, in addition to having one already in Warrendale. They have been contacting landowners in cherry twp., venango twp.,  marion twp., etc. I also heard from alot of the landowners there that they will work with you and your attorney.
i wonder if this has anything to do with their location of the cracker plant?
Shell is always looking for new oil and gas plays all over the world. The location of the cracker plant is in the heart of the wet gas area.
is wet gas easier to locate?  reading other posts, it seems that dry gas can be hit or miss.
Its in western PA and eastern OHIO and WV,BUT ITS PAYING ABOUT 13.00 A UNIT VERSUS 4.25 FOR DRY GAS.SHELL TRYS TO COVER ALL THE PLAYS.
is it everywhere in western pa and eastern ohio or just in pockets?  and how do you find out the price for wet gas.  thanks for the info paleface.

You can google wet gas prices there is some good info there,I don't know the core area for wet gas,I would think its around the PA,OHIO border and other parts of the country?

....new ball game...the Marcellus Shale Advisory Commission has approved Forced Pooling for pa. The governor is expected to sign it next week.  Eventually you may not be hearing the word BONUS anymore.
