I heard a rumor today about SHELL. I heard that they were slowing down all drilling and shutting down drilling until 3D testing is done?  Could be up to 24 months.  Is this true?  Does anyone have any facts? What will happen to the commercial business and rental market in the area?

Good post Ann,I hope we can get some production numbers from the Shell wells?
The Jan-June Production/Waste numbers are due by August 15.   But they haven't been on time yet, so we'll see.
I spoke to soon..No work for my husband, no work for my son in law, no work for my neighbors..UGH

Shell (Swepi) is digging pipe lines through our property now. The boss told us last week that "within 1 yr. they will be out of the area." (SE Tioga Co.)

They basically drilled what they had to to lock in their leases & will sell that gas for now. Out of our 200+ ac., they locked us in w/ a 1 & 1/2 ac. corner in a unit!

Ouch ... I thought locking in 240 acres with 30 acres was bad.

Is your pipeline a gathering line for SWEPI's connection to the Tioga County Extension (TCE) of the Empire Pipeline?   The connection point is at the NY/PA border in Jackson Twp.  The TCE is scheduled to go into service at the end of this year and both SWEPI and Talisman are obligated to ship gas through it.  In Jackson and Rutland Twps there are unit sites along the pipeline route where SWEPI has gone ahead and drilled all six wells rather than a single horizontal to hold leases.  So it looks like at least some people will finally start getting some royalties next year.

The line through us is a gathering line. There will be 2 pipes in our right of way, one bringing gas to the compressor station & one sending it back to a main line that heads towards Gleason & joins another line they laid a yr. or 2 ago that heads to the Tennessee Pipe Line above Canton.
OK, you're as SE as it gets.  The gathering line(s) I referred to doesn't extent that far south.
Bob, did he mean that his pipeline crew will be gone in one year or Shell?
He referred to their drilling. He did say that he has to have 120 miles of pipe line in by Jan. 1.They are drilling 6 wells on nearly all the pads in our area (Union Co.) & fracking them now. Putting a compression station between the pads & said they'll have gas flowing by winter. We'll see. They're not breaking any speed records.
