It seems everyone I talk to that has 5+ acres has recieved a lease offer recent....especially on the South end of New Phila.
AIM, Sierra, and CHK seem to be the most mentioned suitors. Are all these companies
in competition....or just dividing up the territory?
There are 1000s of HBP acres in the area as well (no pun intended), So I suspect units are being organized and permits submitted (soon).
Where will the first well be drilled....and by Whom?

How much land do you have and where is it? If you are in the northern part of the twp, you could be a fit with Greenwood (Sierra). Still waiting to hear where all the OVL landowners are. At least Greenwood will let you know up front (at least, so it seems) if your land fits in with them.
XTO?
They asked me to join the group but I had already joined the OVL group. They signed pretty much everyone on Baltzley Valley road - it is with Greenwood for Sierra Buckeye - smae terms as the OVL group.
I had expressed concerns on the forum about my land not being contiguous with others in the group (well founded concerns since i now know that all my neighbors are signed with Sierra). I was told by both groups that the companies will negotiate lease trades or buy each other's leases to create contiguos drilling units, so I feel a lot better about it now.
Anyone have any new information to offer related to Tusc. County?
Seems leasing has slowed....I don't see any new permits.....are all the O/G companies done until after the holidays?
Seems like Sierra left a lot of people out to dry, something about being out of money? The law firm that was representing Sierra, (Hillyer etc.) is moving people to Endeavour at the same terms. I think I'm headed to Chesapeake.
Interesting...Where are you hearing this from.....Also, I didn't think they were represented by Hillyer...
You have any contact information for Endeavour?
If true....I wonder how much of the HBP acreage they really purchased....they were reported to have been buy all local HBP acreage leases in my area.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
