We all get ourselves into different positions dealing with what is best to get to
the point where we sign the lease and addendum. Most cases a hard struggle;
wanting to do the best for yourself and your future generations.
Once we get to that point, then what?
Reading the posts, I do not remember anybody posting what happens next.
In my case, I have gotten to that point.
I have signed the lease and addendum, and then wait for the bonus check.
Once the lease/addendum is signed, a title search is performed. Once this
is accomplished, these items are forwarded to the O&G main office for processing,
which may take up to (xx) working days.
I was able to check the progress by going to the on-line records for Butler County,
which is where my land is located. It took 8 working days for this process.
If you are in Butler County, you can go to this site. It is an interesting site, for the
information that you can find.
www.co.Butler.Pa.Us/Recorder/SimpleQuery.asp
Just hit on simple query, then enter name info
Counting the days now for my bonus check, and OH, it is so nice,
I can sleep at nights now. Good luck to all.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
