I just did a search at Landex for SWEPI (Shell) just since the beginning of 2012. A Memorandum is usually a lease, and there have been 22 since the beginning of the year. Most are with municipalities, and I'm not sure what they are (leases or something else?). It would be nice to have a better way of knowing who is leasing what.

 Memorandum is usually the abreviated version of the lease not the hole lease that is filed and assignment is usually a flip from one company to another.
