Lynn Wigglesworth replied to Josie's discussion '# of Wells in Average Production Unit of 640 acres.' in the group Tioga County, PA
"I don't understand what you are talking about.  "If you don't unitize"? That's not a decision an individual makes.  If you sign a lease, it is the gas company's right to put you in a unit or not, and you get…"

"Great! Did you ever find out what is going on?  Wells usually go out in 2 directions from the well pad.  If the unit was only 300 acres before, maybe they drilled all the wells in one direction and planned to lease the rest of the land and…"

Lynn Wigglesworth replied to Ann Ticopa's discussion 'How much snow?' in the group Tioga County, PA
"In Delmar Township (about 1800' elevation) I measured 4-5". We probably got more, but it's been melting faster than it's accumulating. It just stopped snowing, and is brightening up. We never lost power. It's the most snow…"

Tax Time

I know that gas lease money is taxed at the State and Federal level, but what about locally? Berkheimer and Central Tax; I can't figure out where to put it on their forms.See More

Lynn Wigglesworth replied to Josie's discussion 'Wells in Tioga County with Inactive Status' in the group Tioga County, PA
"Thanks for confirming that! I wonder what they are working on, if the pipeline is done. Lots of equipment and men still hanging around along the pipeline route. I never did find out what the light is that I can see from my house. It's not on…"

Lynn Wigglesworth replied to Josie's discussion 'Wells in Tioga County with Inactive Status' in the group Tioga County, PA
"Josie; the pipeline isn't done. We see them working on it all over; there's pipe laying on the surface in several places. From what I was told last fall, it could be a long time before it's done. How did you hear that royalty checks…"

"I still wonder why they went ahead and drilled the Butler wells before they finished the 3D survey. I imagine they are paying a LOT of money to have it done. Why not wait for the results before drilling? I also wonder if there is a way to tell from…"

Lynn Wigglesworth replied to Josie's discussion 'Wells in Tioga County with Inactive Status' in the group Tioga County, PA
"No, I'm not in a unit yet. It will be interesting to see what happens; I assume SWEPI will put me in a unit within the 5 years of the lease, just to keep it from expiring, but it doesn't look like much is going to be happening otherwise."

Lynn Wigglesworth replied to Josie's discussion 'Wells in Tioga County with Inactive Status' in the group Tioga County, PA
"If you look at the Jul-Dec 2011 production report for SWEPI (you have to download it to see all of it) http://www.portal.state.pa.us/portal/server.pt/community/oil_and_gas_reports/20297 they've applied for 'inactive' status for MANY…"

Lynn Wigglesworth replied to Josie's discussion 'Wells in Tioga County with Inactive Status' in the group Tioga County, PA
"Are there any time limits at all on wells, beyond those in the lease? The Kennedy well was drilled 4 or 5 years ago and nothing has been done since.  I assumed the 'inactive' status was just a way to get around the impact fee until…"

Lynn Wigglesworth replied to Josie's discussion 'Wells in Tioga County with Inactive Status' in the group Tioga County, PA

Lynn Wigglesworth replied to Josie's discussion 'Wells in Tioga County with Inactive Status' in the group Tioga County, PA
"The DEP Production Report also lists the Kennedy well as 'active' but 'non-producing'. I can't find anywhere that lists it as 'inactive'."
