I've heard from multiple people that there are problems at the Milton site? Anyone hear anything?

Jim,
When I search the DNR I typically get into the database and search the permit and plug list however, searching the county engineers permit list has yielded permits submissions quicker it seems. Either way find the well you are looking for and write down the API number - that's 14 digit number on the top left of the permit. From there return to the menu and search completion reports for that API number. In the results near the bottom you will see a link for a TIF image, scroll through that packet and you will find a plat mat. One thing to note, The reports have everything to do with that permit, its got the original permitting info, any revisions, laterals tied to a vertical, etc. you can also pull that information for older wells, I.E. old Clinton sand wells. Not to throw this thread off topic but Ohio currently has a self reporting system, the G&O's submit their annual production data for the well and its done. How many wells have kept land HBP that are producing nothing but have fudged production data and a .10c annual royalty check? Further more, Ive got an instance where the well has years of 0 production but currently I understand that Ohio will not terminate a secondary lease unless the well has minimum 2 consecutive years of 0 production.
Permalink Reply by Robert Bond on January 3, 2012 at 3:35am Just heard that all the frac tanks have been removed from the site. Also was told that a pump jack has been installed. If true I am surprised as I though the gas was supposed to push the liquids to the surface. Does anyone know anything about this?

Permalink Reply by Robert Bond on January 12, 2012 at 3:24am No I haven't heard anything about the other well in Milton Twp. Has anyone heard any thing new about the Getches well? It seems to be moving along quite slowly. Any information is appreciated. Thanks!!!
Permalink Reply by Jack on January 14, 2012 at 4:08am In 2010 Ohio Buckeye pulled a permit for a statagraphic well in Milton Township . Thats the only thing I have heard or seen.
Permalink Reply by Robert Bond on January 14, 2012 at 12:08pm I don't know anything about it.
Permalink Reply by Brett R Oxley on January 19, 2012 at 3:32am Robert, the jack pump was installed at Geatches well and all of the mobile equipment and tanks are gone, but I have never seen the jack pump operating yet. I have no clue as to if this well is operating or producing anything at this time, or if there is any type of forecast for its viability.
Permalink Reply by Robert Bond on January 19, 2012 at 3:36am Brett, Thanks for the update this is a well that I have been following as my brother owns farms very close to it.
Permalink Reply by caualie on January 20, 2012 at 7:26am Have they not been working on that well for like 15 months now? And only 2 laterals, & no production figures ? That would seem an abnormal amount of time wouldn't it?

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
