I signed with Chesapeak October 26, 2011 - have not received a denial letter yet - any thoughts?

I agree.  The check may be a few days earlier, but not a few weeks early.

So then, since they have not yet sent me a denial letter saying that they would not honor the lease, I can more than likely expect approval from them about the lease?  Does it usually take a shorter period of time for them to not apporve a lease than it does for them to approve the lease?

 CHPK is researching the Deeds and all previous Leases as quickly as possible. I am sure that Chesapeake will hold all of its CASH to the very last minute possible, too. IF CHPK finds an issue with your deed they will contact you and they may even ask for an extra 30 - 45 days to further investigate the problem and possibly resolve the issue.

 

 I would not assume anything until either you get your Signing Bonus within 14 days or you receive a letter from CHPK.
