There seem to be a change in the XTO lease offering, 3 years at 5k deal offered to the Belmont County Board of Commissioners. Has any one seen a three year deal offered in the past year in Belmont?

Permalink Reply by BrianH on February 10, 2012 at 9:54am Interesting note here. No leases filed for Belmont County. And for the last Few weeks there has been an explosion of leases filed in Marshall WV. The update below was publisged by Apollo Mapping 2/10/12.
I think we share geology with the other side of the river. What are they looking for?

Acreage in Marshall and Wetzel counties in West Virginia is the current focus of our activities and capital budget, with 95 well locations identified for near-term drilling. The first two wells put on sales in the third quarter of 2011 - the Wengerd 1H and 7H - had very strong initial production, with a combined 30-day average gross sales rate of 7.1 MMcf/d of natural gas with 176 barrels of condensate and 347 barrels of NGLs
