Our meeting on Saturday, Feb 25th, in the Log Cabin Building at Tyler Co. Fairgrounds went exceptionally well! We had over 75 landowners present. Jim Milleson, our consultant, had just returned from the NAPE Expo conference in Houston, TX and had new information for us. Dr. Chase, from the Petroleum Engineering department of Marietta College, gave a presentation that was extremely educational. We all had opportunity to ask questions and continue to learn about the process of leasing, the importance of the language contained in the lease, the safety and environmental protection issues, and the momentum that is building in our area for landowners to stick together for greater bargaining power.

We are not in a hurry to sign a lease. We want to be educated and put our acreage together, and then use a knowledgeable representative who works for us to negotiate directly with the oil & gas companies.
