Anadarko filed 24 leases today consisting of over 100 pages in the Muskingum County, Ohio Recorders Office!

Permalink Reply by Billy Park Whyde on April 24, 2012 at 5:56am Without the document being completely recorded (the ink isn't dry, lol) my guess is that they have. With no publicity as to Anadarko being hot in Muskingum County so to speak my assumption is they have a landsman working quietly.

Anyone else read through any of these contracts yet? I've skimmed through a couple and so far what I'm seeing doesn't look good for the land owners involved. Am I missing something?

They can use the sites to dump as well? With almost no limits or compensation to the owners?

Permalink Reply by Billy Park Whyde on April 26, 2012 at 4:39am I kinda think some of this shale play is being located more upon acreage that is available to drill on than by formation. A lot of land is tied up by being held by production, to this end we do not know what the producers are holding out for in negation with the big boys. The big boys can not drill unless they have the leases and with HPB land it puts a lot of acreage into a state of limbo.
