1) Black Ridge Oil & Gas who advertise work in Bakken & Three Forks; and the Williston Basin all in North Dakota.
Did not find anything on a BlackRidge at all.
What's their lease look like - landowner friendly ?
Any numbers - dollars per acre / for what term length ?
I'm guessing 5 years ?
5 with a 5 year renewal option for a total of a 10 year primary term...
Blackridge first appeared in our area in Mercer County last year.
While I do believe that they drill wells in Kentucky where they are located I dont think they operate utica wells.
Last year they came into Mercer County w/ Carrizio as their silent partner and purchased the deep rights from Cobra Resources. In they assignment i believe they received an overriding royalty and a percentage of the deal $$.
If they are knocking on your door you may ask them point blank do they have a partner or are they trying to put acreage together and shop it around?
Black Ridge has been going door to door here for the past week. I'm in very southern Ashtabula County -between Rt. 322 to the north and Rt. 87 to the south...Rt. 46 to the west and Rt. 193 to the east. I DO know that they signed Yuhasz's grain operation on Rt. 46 a few days ago...
That makes at least two (2) of us !
Saw a sample BlackRidge Lease.
Looks as good as ALOV's.
From what I've read, they seem to be concentrating on only Southern Ashtabula County now; between 46 and 193 and South of 6.
I'd like to know / hear / read about how many acres they've signed - wondering if they're concentrating on larger tracts totally open to lease or what ?
Go to blackridgeusa.com for a web page.
Also, it's BlackRidge not Black Ridge.
Yep...I actually had a Black Ridge visit and lease given to me. They're working with Beusa Energy (or something like that!)...

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
