Typically a couple hundred bucks flat rate.  These are pvc pipes that sit above ground on wooden risers and are usually only there for 1-2 months.

Any idea what the going rate, per foot, is? I had heard $3.00. This is for temporary pipe-line laid above ground. Also, they are offering a small bonus just to sign.

I would suggest you inquire (and obtain in writting) as to exactly what would be carried in the water

line(s).

Would it exclusively be fresh water?

Would it include frac fluid?

Would it include returned spent frac fluid/formation water?

 

I would further specify a maximum length of time for the water line to be in place.

And, I would want a good damages/indemnification clause to cover the actions of the company, their contrators and any sub-contractors. I would specify that all be returned to an "as before" case (taking a "before" video tape of the ROW might be a good idea).

I had one of these things across a corner of my property a couple of years ago and I had Doug Clarke, a lawyer from Dunmore near Scranton, do up the agreement.  He got me more money and I had the satisfaction of knowing I was protected.  His fees are very reasonable and I know I came out ahead.
