WOW Halcon! What a cluster____! I thought they were going after the high contiginous acerage areas. This flies in the face of what I thought. Anyone with more insight have an explanation as to what their reasoning ($) is?

Pete I am perplexed as well....payments made around here have been spotty at best....... My neighbor next door has about 50 acres and he was paid in October as planned....the rest of my neghbors that continue down the road are waiting to be paid this next week...on the other end of them is a neighbor with about 80 acres who was also paid in Oct. ....... heard to figure it out. I am watching closely to see if they get paid this week....if something "comes up" on Halcons end we are going to seriously consider other options

Brett,

Let me take care of some computer problems and we should friend each other (both Hadley). Looks as if they want to hold the large tracts? Thats what I used to think?

OK Pete.... When you say "friend each other are talking FB??

No. Above right - done.

Yup....I figured it out after I posted the Q..... LOL just learning my way around here!!

my cousin and others in West salem were paid on Wed

If you haven't got paid from Halcon yet and you signed with cx energy, you might want to contact somebody. We signed June 22, Halcon said they would accept the leases up until June 30. Somewhere along the lines our paperwork didn't get turned into Halcon until September or October. Halcon said it was too late and denied our lease. I know that we were not the only ones. M and P won't return any of my phone calls and CX has no answers. I have 27 acres in Greene township, Mercer county. Halcon is in the process of drilling a well approximately a mile from my house, and Halcon said they do not want any more leases in Greene township right now. What is it that I did wrong in this process?!? I did everything required of me. I talked to Halcon, and I was told that if my paperwork was in by the cutoff (which it should have been) they definitely would have taken my lease. Who is responsible for this screw up? In my opinion, It was not me! Does anybody have an idea of what my next step should be?

Very simple if M&P or CX negligently did not get your paperwork in, they owe you $3900 times 27.5. I am a bit surprised Halcon won't pay you anyway because your property appears to be in the oil window of the Utica and that is a great place to own property. I assume you will ultimately get leased but for now you lost your bonus money and M&P and/ or CX ought to pay you that, and pay it now. This conclusion is based on the assumption that M&P or CX screwed up and were negligent in not getting your paperwork to Halcon on time. M&P / CX mave made millions in Mercer County. It should be no problem for them to step up to the plate and give you some money. If M&P  is so honorable and upright, why will they not return your calls? Maybe Jim Litwinowicz can explain their behaviour because I can't. I am not taking a shot at Jim. I believe he is honorable. He probably knows more about M&P / CX than almost anybody else. Good luck!!

We were told that our lease was misplaced!
Actually, the conversation was word for word "somewhere between CX, M and P and Halcon your lease was misplaced"....we know of two other people that this happened to

Has it been found yet? Did Halcon ever get it? If so, when did they get it? If M&P sent it, they assuredly should be able to tell you when they sent it?? What you are being told is preposterous. It is totally unacceptabe that M&P will not return your phone calls. That may tell you something in and of itself. Please post where the paperwork that you signed is located now, if you know .You might want to consult an attorney of your own choosingo to write a letter to M&P.
