Sometime in 2008, Seneca won a bid for leases in the Pa. State Game lands. Have they paid up as required? Must they drill wells to hold the leases? Have they done so? Do these leases only concern the Marcellus or do they extend down to the Utica or deeper? What about other drilling companies who hold leases on Pa. public lands?

Thanks Scoot. Your activity at least lets me know their contract still seem to be good. I thought perhaps companies defaulting on leases because of the drop in gas prices could be some empitice for the new legislation that has been introduced. Just like private land holders, if the companies that hold the state land leases don't drill and produce, the state doesn't make much money. If Seneca and the others weren't going to pay or drill, then the state might change HBP for a new round of leasing.
