A bad article.
Bad publicity.
Not even mentioning Ashtabula County by name (we happen to be the northeastern most county in our State).
As I have it, our Utica Point Pleasant is deep (4000'-5000') below the surface.
As I have it, our Utica Point Pleasant is thick (300'-350').
They qualify their article by saying more data is needed (wells and core drill data points) before they know for sure, but, then it would be better to not say anything - except drill the wells and get the data !
This article doesn't help our county generate interest in developing our Utica Gas and Oil deposits at all.
As always, all also in my humble opinion (IMHO).
What do you folks think ?

You mean they still call it Oil? I thought they changed it's name so us dumb landowners would'nt know what they were talking about!
There will be a test well drilled about 1 mile south of the Ashtabula county line in Greene township sometime this year. If the out come is good on this well and others in Northern Trumbull. I would look for BP to get alot more acreage to the North in Ashtabula, just my thought!!
