the well on knighttown rd has limited production due to the capacity of the stripping plant, which also processes exotic's gas. maxium 7000 mcf per day

There was another permit issued to Stone Energy for a well in Elk Twp. and three renewed permits to EQT, one in Elk Twp. and two in Porter Twp., this month so far. They are all for Marcellus horizontal wells. That makes for a total of five permits in Clarion Co. so far this year.

I heard that EQT has put more wells on hold because they aren't happy with their well in Elk Township. It appears that it is only producing 200,000 and they need at least 1,000,000 to be profitable.

This information is from the DEP website. It states that EQT has renewed three permits, one is for Knighttown Rd. Stone Energy was issued two permits in Clarion County, one in Ashland Township and one in Elk Township.

Go to: http://www.dep.state.pa.us/dep/deputate/minres/oilgas/RIG10.htm

Go down the page and find "Permits Issued By County Detail - 2010" This is in excel spreadsheet format, so if you have Microsoft Office you can open it. If not, "Open Office" that you can download for free will work also. You can find it at www.download.com. Once you get it pulled up go to view and zoom up to about 75% and you should be able to read it. At the bottom of the page there is a tab to click on to get Marcellus only permits, that shortens the list.
