Just curious...
I am in Liberty township and a few months ago got an offer to buy my royalties for 1500 to 1800 per acre, but they would do a more in-depth look if I was serious which "mite change the numbers" slightly....even tho I am not drilled or receiving any royalties ..talked to a landsman rite b4 I contacted them and he advised caution as there will be "significant" activity in my area in the "near future"....how about it, anybody else get an offer or hear anything or see any activity here in Tioga Co. ?

My reply was to the part of your comment I quoted. (You didn't qualify it with "temporarily" or something similar.)
Shell has figured out how to drill NC-NW Tioga county, this is a hole new ball game now.
TD is- 12362 ft.,TD MD is 16157.54 into Trenton formation.
What does it change in TC, now? (Other than how SWEPI might value the assets on their books.) Seneca is also looking at legacy (Elk Cty) conventional well areas, but their bread-and-butter is production from Lycoming and Tioga Marcellus wells.
If you're thinking NGLs, that takes more post-production processing infrastructure and an ethane pipeline.
I heard the Neal well pad is starting to look like a small city.
The big problem right now is finding a customer to buy the products and than finding a way to deliver it to them. I do feel much better knowing we have some good stuff under our feet when the economy picks up this area will be ready for it. Ann if you take a ride west on RT249 from RT 287 about a mile up on the right in Middlebury there is a Shell pipe holding area about a 100 acres of all types of pipe that is going down in our area, than you could keep going west and see the Gee well on the left than the Neal well on the right in Chatham it looks like Nasa that rig is staying in the area and drilling a Utica/TBR on most of the Marcellus well pads that are already drilled.
Any activity in Charleston township, Round Top Rd area? Sevem well.
I wouldn't write off any part of TC. But the companies are going to move slower and prioritize. Some of the sites now getting drilling permits had gotten their E&S permits a couple years ago. (Yes, I had noticed the permits for the activity in your area.)
Jim if you look at a DEP well plat which the DEP will E-MAIL you if you request it they show depth as TD that's the bottom straight down than they show TD MD that is the total length including the lateral. I think all shale wells are fracted in our area.
E-MAIL to oharris@pa.gov and ask for well plat and give permit number from the DEP E-FACTS and well number and name.Olivia Harris is the clerks name she is fast sends it right out to you.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
