I recently purchased nine acres of land with the mineral rights. The previous owner told me that he was approached by Range Resources about leasing the rights, but told them he wasn't interested. Now there is drilling in my area and no one has talked to me about leasing. I've tried contacting Range and I'm told that someone will contact me and no one ever does. All of the neighbors that I talked to have already signed leases around two or three years ago. I was contacted by a seismic testing company and they have been on my property measuring, but that's it. My question is did I miss the boat? Will they come back? Who do I contact?
If anyone has any info please let me know and thanks for the help.

Permalink Reply by Paul Martinelli on August 10, 2013 at 3:39am relax......they will contact you when they need you....if they don't need your nine acres.....no amount of begging will get you a lease.
When they contact you....you are in driver's seat with respect to getting a good lease.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale.
