To be quite honest, I'm now beginning to get leary living on the same ridge as that place..let alone next door!
We did sign a least in 2010..and to my knowledge, Chevron ( that same facility) took over those leases. I've heard rumor that this facility is going to have 12 wells on it. My question is: Is it possible that we could get royalties from thise wells? And how or where could I find out about all if this?
I love my home and land ...but if I get royalties..I'm outta here!

I guess I'm the only person in WV who knows about that this plant us being built.
I just wish someone out there knew something about this company or even what kind of plant this will be and if its dangerous to love by.

From what I read it is just a gas processing plant like all the others around. As far as being dangerous if an explosion would happen I am sure it would be. The oak grove plant will be similair to the Fort Beeler plant just much larger in size.

I know nothing of this plant but if it is gas processing plant there some inherent dangers involved. Risk of explosion, off gassing fumes, heavy truck traffic. But it probably isn't more dangerous than having an industrial plant there. One good thing is that if your property is properly zoned industrial/commercial it may be soon worth much more if needed for expansion and/or supporting facilities. (If it just residential, it will probably lose value) I'd talk to local zoning people to see if it can be rezoned.
As for being in a unit. Its a definite possibility since they can drill over a mile laterally from the pad. Check with the WV DNR or what ever department has jurisdiction. They would have details of any drilling units declared. Even if you are not in a current unit, units can be enlarged later when more wells are drilled.
Also, contact the company that holds your lease. Ask your neighbors what they have been told. Local government officials like supervisors and county councilmen usually know what is going on.

Sincerely THANK YOU all for your replies. I did look into Fort Beeler Station and since it is so located into ridge, I drove out there to check it out.
It's a fraction of the size of the one next door..but it doesn't seem to be too loud. I didn't smell anything unpleasant in the air.
I just don't trust a plant, especially one that size, to be completely safe.
I will check with the company we leashed with..which was NPAR. When all this gas and oil started to become popular around here, I was happy about it hoping we would get money from it all. But now..I am more worried about my family's well being and safety than anything. The dynamite they've used over there literally shakes my house. I feels the pressure of the blast under my feet in my own home. There are literally dozens of white repainted school buses that transport the workers to the plant. I'm thankful it has lessoned traffic. I honestly wish I didn't live this close.. Regardless. Thanks again everyone for replying back. I appreciate it.

Billie; you could sell the surface and keep the mineral/oil and gas rights. That way you will get royalties later. Or make sure to get top dollar if selling all the rights with the surface.
