Teresa,

Even if the "rumor", and it is a rumor, is true that does not mean shale development in Trumbull County is over. All it means is that BP may be done. So what ? The oil and gas are there, eventually another company will see the value and develop the area.

But I think it is too soon to start helping BP load the moving van, they have some more work to do. We all need to take a deep breath, relax and be patient; development will occur.

At $8.00/MCF look for the dry gas areas of pa to come back into play. 50 million per day from a 3 well pad hard to over look at $8.00/mcf. That said $8.00 is a long ways off.

First, BP is not done yet.

And each company's idea of economic is different, even at the prices that exist today. Trumbull will get developed even at $5.18 gas and $96.64 oil.

first off - thanks for the occasional cryptic inputs about Trumbull.  Have you ever said anything untrue?  I don't believe so.  Is Bp really leaving?  Maybe you are right, but really - who cares?  They were'nt around a couple years ago and they made some people I know very well off just from the bonus monies they threw around willy nilly.  As for the people you have met - if you know anything about this area's history, you would understand why they would dream that theyre "economic woes would all end".  Closing of the steel mills, dairy farms going out of business, decent paying jobs gone....etc.  Why do you even care if folks believe you anyway?  What vested interest do you have here?  You owe us nothing at all.  That being said, you are right about new permits.  Just pipeline ROW being done in the area.  Thanks for your input and good luck to whomever in this state benefits from shale development.  As for me, I'll keep pluggin along...think I'll visit Aunty V's later :)

Trumbull County isn't looking too good.  BP and Mountaineering will slow/stop drilling plans.  Halcon is doing its peacock act to boost interest in flipping their position.

There still is no real proof that BP is leaving. Ill wait for BP's earnings and conference call next month and well see what they say (if anything) this quarter about their drilling operations in Trumbull. Ill post the time and date of the earnings conference call when they announce it. Im sure gonna be listening and maybe the rest of the board will want to listen in with me.

BP's fourth quarter and full year results will be published on Tuesday 4 February 2014 at 0700 GMT / 0200 EST. BP will be hosting a webcast discussing results at 1400 GMT / 0900 EST
