starting offers are 2500 an acre @ 18% for the Utica and $4000 for all 5yr lease w/option to release for 5 more @ 4400

Permalink Reply by PETE on April 14, 2014 at 8:09am There was a meeting put together by a bunch of law firms in town and they are forming a land group -- 6% fee which they ask the buyers to pay and you can opt out and not take the lease they put together, any way they feel we should get
upwards of 10,000 an acre for the lease--they are trying to get 8,000 plus
acres in the group before checking on offers. I`m inclined to believe this
just as the Marcellus leasing started and then picked up.
Fossil kept going on about infrastructure in place to get the gas out
mainly because I asked and already knew pipeline capacity is running at 99% on the main line crossing over into PA
I was told they got all the leases from Krishna`s from the first refusal and now had the 60 days to pay up--will keep watch for permits
