wheelage for gas line right away

A company is looking to put in a 24" gas line across my property and I saw where some people have got wheelage for the gas that flows across the property. My question is how much should I ask for, the pipeline is crossing 60 ft of my property. Any help would be appreciated.

They will tell you to go pound sand. I know of no one getting wheelage for high volume pipelines

60' that had better be one awful long skinny piece of property you have if you think the gas company is going to deal with you at all.

Simple answer. being paid by volume passing through the line. g/o company's wont admit they pay it but do , and its the best way to go for the landowner. 10 , 100, 150 years as long as the pipeline is in use, if you get it they will have you sing an agreement that you will not disclose the amount, or even the fact that you are getting it. Would it not be easier just to get an annual rental for the right of way.  I don't really care how much stuff moves thru the pipe, I just want to be compensated for the hassle of the right of way.  Easier for the company, too, they know they have to pay X dollars per year, and not worry about audits, and proving what was transported.  Even if they stop using the pipe, you can still get rent until they release the right of way.

We had a 12 inch line run 2650 feet across our property. Received payment per foot. Is it to late to look into payment wheelage? Ahhhh. I'm am a idiot. I seem to learn after the fact. I was afraid to lose the 90k. I was also hoping that they will under estimate and have to run more lines. Has anyone on GMs received wheelage in Marcellus or Utica?

Jason, take the 90 and invest it and you might do better than if you had got wheelage.

Some R/w's say how much they got.  They were recorded at the courthouse.  Just some of them though.  Like 1% of them
