Just was curious to hear of any activity going on in Venango county. Anything from talks of leasing, to actually signing on the line of a lease.
What have the offers been for potential leases? Any good addendums you were able to negotiate?
Has anyone heard how the completion went for the Seneca Resources well?
Hopefully 2012 will hold a lot more activity for this industry founding area.

What is the name of the pipeline company and/or the name of the pipeline? Laurel Mountain comes to mind but not sure.
One of the biggest hurdles that Venango/Clarion has is the lack of pipelines. Look at how Halcon has stopped work. Knowing what is going in would be very helpful.
Chevron Brosius Well flaring

Permalink Reply by Jim Litwinowicz on November 19, 2013 at 3:52am Is that two flares at once? If so, one looks much smaller than the other, is that just a result of night-time photography or is one that much smaller?
Permalink Reply by owner on November 19, 2013 at 4:46am Does anyone know any specifics about the well, what was the targeted formation, lenght of laterals, depth, etc...
Thanks

Permalink Reply by owner on November 21, 2013 at 2:52am Thanks for all of your information Brain, I see that this is the 2H well from your previous posts and that it is a Marcellus well. I am surprised to see that the proposed 1h well goes to the Trenton, more possibilites for Venango. The plats show the lateral going directly up to the end of the unit, no boundaries at the end. I thought they couldn't do that because the fracing may be extending into unleased property?
Permalink Reply by David Perotto on July 2, 2014 at 3:37pm Anyone know if Chevron is drilling their two new permits on the Brosius Pad (3H & 6H). Permitted in March 2014. That must be a good sign that they want to drill more wells on this pad. I believe these are Marcellus wells, correct?

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
