Several companies approaching us for leasing land in Marshall County. I have not seen any new discussions on this website referring to any such activity. Are there any active members with new information about leases? I've heard that Chesapeake is back in the game. Any truth or info would be appreciated.

In the Meade District
Met with Chevron a few weeks ago, I was not impressed with the representation and did not feel the offer was set in stone. Only verbal communication, no written lease. Met with Noble as well, much more on the professionalism expected in the industry. No mention of Utica. Still entertaining offers, but not sure if there is any Real interest in the area, or is this all lip service. Would like to get the finger on the pulse. Anyone seeing any action in Marshall???....seems like they pulled out.

sounds interesting....esp. the part of the bidding companies paying the %.
Chevron offer - $3000
Noble offer - $3000
Fossil Creek - $4000
Keep in mind that Fossil Creek is Gulfport and they have had some dynamite results across the river in Ohio. They also have paid some huge dollars to get what they want.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
