interesting..thanx larry

Excellent list, really shows what are clearly the hottest areas. Would love to see  this list for Ohio counties. Wonder who I need to get ahold of to produce one.

Looks like Shell has been very busy in tioga, second only to Bradford county.

does anyone know how much THE ROYALTY checks are per month at where gas is now per well?

From what I understand, the checks are depending on th price of gas at the time should be between the low of $70 per acre to 80 per acre.

 $70 per acre per day/week/month?

$70 per acre per month so if you have a 100 acres you monthly check would be $7,000.

If anyone can tell me different, that is the way I understand it. If some one with more knowledge about this maybe be they can inlighten us. I also signed a lease for $3000 per acre for 3 yrs and if no well in 3 yrs get another 3000 for 4th yr and another 3000 for 5th yr with 18% gross royalty.

From all the big dollars I've heard about about, $70 per acre per month seems rather small to me. But I have only heard 3rd to 4th party information, Of course if you have 100 acres is that 100 acres part of a 640 acre unit? I assume it would be.

640 being the big-est unit you can have from what I've been told, the units can be from 100 acres to 640 and any where in-between. Would be nice if someone knows, they would step up to the plate and in-lighten us. to much speculation here.

There's no limit on Marcellus unit size. Chk units are typically 500-1000 acres.  The unit I'm familiar with has one horizontal draining 580 acres.

Tony,        I believe that in Pennsylvania a unit can not be bigger than 640 Acres.
