Permalink Reply by Joseph-Ohio on September 9, 2014 at 12:39pm They're big lessees in northeast Ohio.
Out of West Virginia.
Good to see them getting busy.
They're big on leasing low and selling (or Joint Venturing) high from what I've read / heard about them - just like all of the rest of them - lol.
Are they in JV with anybody in PA ?

Permalink Reply by Joseph-Ohio on September 9, 2014 at 12:56pm Reads like the lands being developed are held by old tailgate class leases - pre-Marcellus / pre-Utica.
Am I reading correctly ?
Permalink Reply by Lonnie Ray McFall on September 9, 2014 at 2:45pm I have about 4 acres in Mercer and Lawrence Counties that was divided from my grandfathers farm that had an1990 existing lease with Atwood energy and has traded numberous times, and is currently held by Enervest.
Western land services has finally contacted us about ratifing the existing lease. This comes from an joint venture between Enervest and Hilcorp.
Sad thing is that they prep the site in June and have been drilling next door since then.
Western Land services says we neen to sign at the old lease rate at 12.5 %of royalties(no sign on bonus), when most of the property owners around here got about $3000.00 sign up and will get about 17% royalties. They say If we dont sign they will go around us, but cant control where the gas and oil will come from once the fracking is complete.
We all know DEP can't keep track of the surface issues let alone what happens 8-9000 ft below us.
what other choses do we have?
