My farm is actually at Wolf's Run outside Amsterdam in Springfield twp.--138 acres...I just recvd. another letter about leasing yesterday...so that makes 3 offers....plus the 2 law firms in less then 2 weeks....

A land man from Kinder Morgan told me yesterday that the owner of 22 acres just got $9000 an acre and 25%. He didn't say where but told me prices are rising.

That's great, but, what state?what county? what twp.? How are the completed wells nearby doing? As far as Amsterdam area goes., out of all the hundreds of wells Chesapeake has drilled, some of the best ones in Ohio,as far as Gas goes, are nearby! Evans/Woodlands. not drilled yety,but in between the Woodlands and Evans, will be the Stropki and Jane Ann wells. They should go to or under the town.

Bo, if he stops by again I'll find out where. Kinder Morgan is surveying around me but not on my property. He just stopped to make  sure I would be alright if they were on the edge of my property. Unlike Sunocco I enjoyed talking to him.

Thank you so much Bo for all your information....I really appreciate it! I can't see accepting anything under $5,000....we presently harvest the land for timber with DeNoon so there are many things to consider before we jump into bed with the oil and gas people...

$5700 and 20% gross with surface rights. Don't accept anything less. If you ask for a non-surface it's going to be less. Get in with a group. Cheatapeak is tough to negotiate with without some leverage. Insist on a gross lease. Just my two cents.

Tom. Dealing with Cheasapeake around Amsterdam. They wont be offering anymore than $3500 per acre signing bonus and 15% royalties. The claim they will not go any higher and will forcepool if necessary. They claim that those #s are fair market value! Good luck trying to get anymore,and if you can, please let the rest of the unleased in that area know.  THX

Tom have you heard anything from these Green "something" people? about buying your mineral rites? I heard they were offering $7,000 per acre.....Also some of the contracts they are offering are for partial selling if you want.....
