Has anyone that has actual data (receiving a royalty) compared it to the calculator? I am curious as to how accurate it is?

Permalink Reply by J Landowner on January 27, 2015 at 3:09pm Not mine but my friend's who has been fighting with them. As mentioned above, they will not sign a no deduction lease. His currently says 15% with max of 15% deductions clearly spelled out. It may be special for his situation though based on negotiations, possibly the reason for the difference. Mine is not as specific.

Just jaggin. but you knew that.
Ya I did notice Harvey coming up under the Stebbins.
Possibly one of the original landowners somewhere in the unit.
Could probably do a deed search on a couple of the larger parcels around the pad.
Cheers
Permalink Reply by LewPa on November 24, 2014 at 8:16am Hi Phil, I would presume the Harvey well is named after Harvey Gumto. The Stebbins well pad is on Eric Gumto's property, Harvey's son. All three laterals go directly under me, the one larger proposed unit should be interesting, I still have the old Phillips lease on part of my property with the 640 acre limit size for the unit. Harvey Gumto it is!
These outlines are of course preliminary. I drew the unit outline for well #3 and #5 on the Butler County GIS map. The total acreage is right at the 1280 +10% limit that the new leases have. The acreage for the outline drawn on the #1 well plat would greatly exceed any limit.
They need to hold on to the Brownsdale Corp and Spang properties which expire in 2015. It will be interesting to see what they do with your property. They can't reach the old Ferguson farm or Charles Rath's farm or most of the Brownsdale Corp property from the Stebbins well pad.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
