Turkey unit. 2 laterals going 23,500 ft. Thought this was big news, maybe not?

Permalink Reply by bo boboski on March 23, 2015 at 10:17pm After looking at all the wells drilled and permitted in ohio, I saw none as long as the Turkey. CNX has a couple around 20000. Antero has one in Belmont Co. at 21000. So the Turkey so far is the longest at 23500.It's as long as 2 wells on most pads. A lot of folks just look at the production #s on wells and don't consider the length of the wellbore. When this one is completed ,and you see the #s, you may say,Wow, this is a great well,but it's the length of 2 wells!
