Rumors & Tidbits for Guernsey County

Some true,some hearsay...Aubrey is looking for a site to build his regional office with a Cambridge address.  Aep Utica is looking to drill a well behind the General store in Old Washington,early feb.   .AEP is drilling now in Harrison co. Rice will be moving their big rig from Belmont co. to daddy Shugerts well in Old Washington,soon. Bluegrass Pipeline coming thru the county this year. Compressor  station for Antero's well below Senecaville is ready to fire up any day.  Gulfport is sending rigs to Guernsey soon. EQT is wanting to drill 21 new wells in Guernsey this year. Carrizo has 2 pads built,ready to roll. Cheasapeake,all of a  sudden,likes Guernsey,better than Carroll. The company wanting to build an apartment complex at the I-77/Rt.22 site has agreed to help finance a sewer plant needed at that site& Coventry Estates. Motel to be built across from Pilot on the hill almost ready to roll. Some landowners near Quaker City are getting offers of $13,400. per acre to sell their Mineral rights.  Any other tidbits are welcome. You hear things from credible sources that may not even be true,but you be the judge.

The Daily Jeff had a story about yet another motel wanting to build across from B-Dubbs. With the Fairfield Inn,that"ll make 12 hotels you can see from I-70. Interesting. Good thing there is a lull in the drilling activity for now, because the traffic is almost outgrowing the roads & traffic signals now!

Why another hotel...I am sure there is plenty of room in town now with it slowing way down, unless they expect it to pick up pretty quick again.   I vote for a Krogers LOL....or something for young kids to do like a roller rink....

Looks like they are putting in the access road to the 2 disposal wells permitted for a spot just south of Go-Mart on Rt. 285. Old Washington.             I also seen that Antero is cutting trees for the access road to be built for the Peirce wells pad on St. John's rd. north of Kennonsburg.

THE RIG IS UP on the AEPU ,Eggleston pad on Easton Rd. Just south of the fairgrounds in Old Washington.   More $$$ for the Shugerts!  Maybe they will get to go under I-70 and go N./N. /W. with a few wells too?  2 Thumper trucks siitting on their Shipman Pad,. just up the road. AEPU just keeps drilling away in the Utica.  They are Gonna be sitting pretty when the Oil prices go up!. Other companies that have left,or sitting idle / not so much!

I heard that AEU will have 10 rigs here by the end of the year........came from one of the big guys from Oklahoma.....

GOOD NEWS!!!  PDC says they may be coming back to Guernsey co. sooner than expected due to the production #s that keep exceeding expectations from their Gue. Co. wells. Also, a worker at the Wooden wheel in Quaker City had a bigshot from Eclipse in recently who told her they wont be so slow in the restaurant come late june/july because they were coming back! Just have to wait -n-see?

AEPU just got 3 permits for the Shipman wells on their pad on County Home rd. just south of Old Washington. More $$ for the Shugerts. They should get ahold of the tv cable company doing a show on the Utica Fracking Millionaires being filmed soon. they are looking for "suddenly Rich" landowners to come forward. If they ever go N.N,W. with laterals from this pad,it should take in most of Old Washington and up Beeham Rd.

They would have to go under the interstate to take in Old Washington and that area. Is the Guernsey County Fair Grounds leased yet? Are they now allowed to drill under the interstates? Seems like all the laterals stop shy of the 4 lanes. I think there might be one well with laterals under the interstates. What do you know about that ?

I own 77 acres in Center Twp. on Institute Road very close to the Chumney well. Part of the property runs along I-70, the surface has an easement for the interstate, but I own the minerals, if you look at the land records you can see where some landowners are listed on the interstate parcel and some are not. I don't know how this happened, maybe there was the option when the interstate came through to either sell or allow an easement, but I do know that mine is listed as an easement on my deed, which is leased to Gulfport.
That may be why they can go under the interstate in some cases.
