Just like we read about lottery winners having to deal with people wanting money. Has anyone experienced that with your new found gas/oil wealth? I'm dealing with that right now. They try to put you on a guilt trip while justifying (in their mind) why they are entitled to some of your "easy money".

You could offer the past 20 years expenses (negative dollars) on your portion of the farm, see if they are equally willing to share that as they are the possible windfall they perceive. Your 'Luck' is the intersection of preparation and opportunity. Entitlement has a very strong call that transcends rational thought. Everyone likes free money.
