these are production numbers from Hess CadizB wells for the last 3 QTR's........the most recent QTR shows highest production.........were they choked back in the previous QTR?..........or maybe some toe to toe communication with Hess AthensB wells that recently came on line?........I would guess choking........kindof interesting.

At this point I think it's safe to say that all wells are choked, none of them are flowing wide open, and if they're then the first year decline rate will be steep, really steep.
but there are not many that show such a dramatic increase in production like this one......this one is strange.
Not an expert by any means, know a little about drilling and fracking. But on the chart above I see whereBrine is listed.I thought that this was used when fracking then disposed of. Why would it be on the production sheet? Tried to look up on the net could not find an answer. Thanks
apparently some wells produce a bunch of brine.........they have to report amounts to the state.
some wells don't produce any brine..........some a little.........some a lot.
One possibility is that the operator installed compression on the system late last year - that would explain the increased production just as easily. You'll know more once Q2 figures are available.
A compressor on the line heading away from the well, I presume?

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
