I believe they actually have a single producible well in progress on each pad. JKLM drilled a vertical well at the Sweden Valley location first, then started a horizontal leg there after confirming where the formations were. The same is what should happen on the Reese Hollow site if the initial results look promising. I've heard that these two wells represent JKLM's 2015 drilling plans, but more wells are possible in 2016. Let's hope that JKLM finds plenty of good rock down there.

Any news regarding JKLM wells in Sweden Valley or the Reese Hollow site?

Reese Hollow is completely inactive until the chemical spill they encountered trying to free a drill bit there is resolved completely and the DEP is satisfied. My guess is that JKLM won't be drilling again for another month or more. The company doesn't want to risk any additional problems this fall.

Jack,

What's the good word on the Sweden Valley pad?  Have they completed the flaring?

Any word on pressures/IP?

No definitive word on the Sweden Valley well has leaked out, although the flaring was supposedly completed a couple weeks ago. The well that caused the problems at the Reese Hollow pad is getting plugged, but work on connecting the Sweden Valley well to an NFG pipeline has been continuing. It's hard to imagine anyone rushing to produce gas at today's prices. JKLM is in it for the long haul, however, so I'm sure they will be back in action in the field before long.

thx Jack.

I have to agree that development is a ways off, but am curious to see what kind of Utica wells we will have in Potter.

What is the next step after plugging the Reese Hollow.  Will they drill another bore on the same pad?

Given the public attention being paid to that pad, it wouldn't surprise me if they went elsewhere for their next well. But it also wouldn't surprise me if they waited until spring. I have no inside knowledge on this, but letting the smoke clear might have some value. Especially if you believe that the area has real potential long-term.

Any new news for JKLM activity in Potter?  I heard the well by the golf course was showing much promise and that the well Reese Hollow well was getting shut in.  What's the latest?

I've read that the Reese Hollow well is being plugged, and that JKLM's one completed well in central Sweden Township is shut in pending some final cable being laid. Hopefully it will go into production later this winter, and they'll resume drilling by spring. At current gas prices testing is all you can really justify, but prices should rebound by next winter and JKLM expects to have established reserves by then large enough to start development in earnest. It's still a bit of a long shot, of course, but the industry has learned not to bet against Terry Pegula.

Hopefully JKLM can remedy the Reese Hollow mishap and Mr. Pegula has better luck with these Potter wells than he did trying to land Connor McDavid :)

what kind of capacity does that NFG line they are connecting into have available?

JKLM bought whatever firm capacity on NFG they negotiated - it wasn't necessarily all the capacity in the YM-52 line. I don't know any way to get that contract information.
