Ascent Resources formerly American Energy

Does anyone know what kind of footprint these folks have in Belmont County?  They seem to be buying out leases for small parcels in Richland, Pease and Colerain Townships

Aubrey Mc Clenden  former ceo of Cheasepeake .....known for buying up leases and flipping them to other companies and making  big profits from the resales  BIGGEST thief in the oil patch  landowners beware

He is the man that put Cheasepeake in the mess they are in now but walked away smelling like a rose

Forget CHK.  Nowadays, Aubrey is more known for buying up leases and DRILLING!

......He Mc Clenden is in it for his pocketbook and the hell with the landowners involved....he just sold abunch of acres to Gulfport for 3 times what he  payed to lease them.......If he is such a nice guy why did CHK run him off?  why did he steal info from CHK on his way out

Pretty sure American Energy bought the Hess / Smith well in Warnock. Supposedly was to take all the Hess leases in Belmont County too. Don't know if they did or not.
