I would think that it would be attractive since water access is a significant issue for the drilling companies, however keep in mind that IF you were to lease and be put into a unit and the company's intention was to draw water from your pond they will need permit approval from the state. Not a slam dunk. I know of at least one similar situation where the applications were denied. Not sure of reasons why.
I think what is desirable to the gas companies is having a large contiguous parcel of land so if you and your neighbors have not leased you should get together as much of your land as possible, form a landowner group and deal from a position of strength. Good Luck.

Just saw this discussion....have you seen the 60minute special on the Marcellus? the man interviewed is selling the water at 25cents a gallon and it is equalling about 50K extra per year....W. Va. it's in the 'extra footage' video.
