National Association of Royalty Owners (NARO) Meeting Jan 9,2016 Sardis, Monroe Co. Ohio

Well personally I like information and plan to attend this event.

NARO is holding a FREE four hour session on issues related to being a royalty owner,  including how to read a royalty statement as well as an update on the Bureau of Land Management which people in the Wayne National Forest area could benefit from.

From the site appears that 100 spaces are available and people are beginning to register.

Amazing to me that this group is coming to Monroe County for  a presentation.

I have attended a few NARO events in other areas and always find them to be very educational and relevant.

What is the latest on the Wayne as far as the BLM.

The public comment period is still open. Speakers at the NARO event will be updating everyone on that process.

You have until January 8th (Friday) to submit a supportive public comment. You can email your support directly to blm_es_comments@blm.gov.

Hey Ron Hale, I just checked the weather forecast for Saturday in Sardis Ohio and its 40% chance of rain showers and high of 48.  So register and drive to Sardis for this NARO information.   Looks like about 30 people have registered to attend.

Looking forward to this event -- there's so much going on right now especially regarding the WNF issue, so there's definitely a need for a little educational meeting. Also it's a great opportunity to meet other folks and find out ways to get involved to support energy development in the WNF (in particular).

Tomorrow is the day for the NARO meeting in Sardis, Ohio.   Weather is favorable for traveling.  Landowners/royalty owners always need info and they need contact and conversation with each other.  This is a perfect opportunity for contact, conversation, and information.

A good "grape" on the grapevine tells me that there will be updated info on the Wayne National Forest and Bureau of Land Management regarding drilling in the Wayne.

Looks as if about sixty people have registered to attend.   Are you one of them?

How about a report from someone that went to the meeting?

The Sardis NARO meeting was very informative. Speakers included: US Congressman Bill Johnson, who spoke on the work being done on the Wayne Forest and other oil and gas related legislation; Jackie Stewart from Energy in Depth, spoke about the BLM a process, where we are at in that process and the potential outcomes; Bob Hart from NARO Appalachia discussed how to read check stubs, calculating decimal interest, and division orders; and Bill Knox, CPA from Barnsville gave a presentation on tax issues. All of the speakers shared valuable information and the lunch from Ables Cheese house was really good too.
The BLM has extended the public comment period out until I believe the 22nd of January. They have decided to work on the areas in the three ranger units seperately and will be doing the Marietta Ranger unit first. This Ranger unit includes Monroe and Washington Counties. It also looks like they may be managing this on a parcel by parcel basis within the ranger unit. The BLM Has decided to move forward with the Environmental Assessment (EA) of the Marietta Ranger unit. We should get an update around mid to late March on how they will be handling this.
