I see that no one responded

I haven/t had experience with this issue, but I can suggest that you type it into the search tool on this site.

I know the subject has been discussed in the past so your search should bring up those discussions.

GMS just doesn't seem as lively as it once was. Used to be alot more helpful folks on here.

Trapper,

Too many people attacking others for posting an opinion.

There is no doubt that some of the posts and replies need to be exposed as nonsense.

But I have seen where people posting an honest reply are attacked and made fun of and I have heard (privately) from people about their concerns of being unfairly attacked. I emphasize unfairly. These folks no longer post or reply to posts..

I have seen it more than once.

Have nothing to contribute in way of water impoudment leases either.

But, on the other front you fellows opened here, I'll offer that I think that there seems to me to have been alot of landowner / lessor disappointing news / outcomes impacting these pages most recently; and perhaps as a result, many are giving up visiting / posting on these pages.

Do you fellows find any merit in that observation ?

Honestly it's like any good board too many people get involved in the board that just want someplace to bitch and complain or just start nonsense. They have no real hands experience with the topic other than gossip or what they can look up on the Internet.there needs to be a section for landowners who actually have any land in production and you should have to use your customer number from your royalty payment to join.

Kris,

These discussions are also very important to landowners who aren't yet royalty owners but hope to be when development / leasing once again picks up.

I think alot of folks are still learning the ropes here (myself included).

Don't want to come off sounding negative on things but 'bitching' about abuses occurring if truthful I also believe assist toward that end.  Let' read about it all - good and bad.

You're correct in this being a 'good board' but, I think it ought to stay open to all affected or hope to be affected by shale development.

JMHOs

You read into my comment I didn't say anything about the "bitching" being about gas and oil issues . What I meant was the people on the board fighting with each other over non gas issues

OK, got it.

I guess I couldn't find a complete address insofar as the word 'bitching' was concerned.

No harm no foul.

kris,

I just entered "water impoundments" into the "looking for something" located just above the discussion board.

There are at least 6 previous discussions about this topic listed.

I know how to use the search but thank you . There was two btw one was never answered and one just had a no comment . The rest just mentioned water impoundments

no idea where u are at, but several years ago, in northeast pa, Chesapeake was paying $5000 to sign agreements paying $100,000 for 5 years with an option to extend another 5 for an extra $100,000 if they built on you.

hope that helps,
