I was searching around in that crazy new weekly report format looking for a well I knew was drilled. I found what I wanted, but on the same page was the information below on some other wells in which I have an interest. I know that the spud date was listed as Sept. 29, 2017 for most of the wells. Can someone tell me what "Cessation of Drilling" really means. I realize that it means they stopped, but technically, does it mean they fracked/just finished the line or what?? Anyone have any other information on the Middle Pad wells listed below? Thanks in advance.
Jim

You may have these links already. Spot checked a couple API's, only spud date, no other info. I suspect you have drilled not completed, often the result of full pipelines or gas plant.
With Rover Pipeline and Mountaineer Express pipelines coming online to take gas from Sherwood gas plant, Antero may have alot of completion work to do.Completion is usually the more expensive portion of making a well.
jim Live near the area looks like these wells are fracked and producing should be recieving something within 6 monthes of completion At least the wells for the middle pad
Great news. Thanks Todd! One more question. 4 of those wells I listed on the Middle Pad (along with 2 others that have probably finished being drilled by now (Caboose) are drilled over a 105 acre parcel in which we have an interest. About a year, year and a half ago, Antero started producing the two Nova wells from a different pad, but which goes over that same 105 acres (west corner). Those wells were doing good and then about two months ago (3 or 4 depending on how long Antero now holds back) the production on the Nova wells basically stopped. I spoke with a friend who has an interest in a different area of the Nova and they noticed the same thing. Is it possible that the drilling/fracking of these 6 wells so close to the Nova wells cause them to stop the production for safety, etc. Reasons? Curious
jim I seen a small service rig on the pad that has the nova wells . perhaps they had these wells shut in for a short period of time. If i see the well tender for these pads i will ask him about the nova wells. All of these wells decline a good bit after the first year.
Jim Last spring they put a valve bank and a 20in line through our property to connect with the west end connector line ,which goes to the mark west plant at sherwood. I believe the nova wells were shut in for a while for this gas to flow into the new 20 inch line The old line was full was full from the gas coming from the coffer and rock run well pads. I think most of the gas coming from the coffer pad is going through the new 20in line now.
Todd. Again thanks. OK, one last general question for anyone. We have a small 44 acre tract in Tyler on which they put a well pad and plan on drilling 14 wells. If they run pipes from the pad, then through other acreage we don't own and only frack on the other acreage, do we make anything off that. Not sure if fracking goes from the pad or just from a location further along the pipeline. Does anyone know how that works?
the pad could be included in the unit....but doesn't need to be. so you could be excluded from units and therefore not get any royalties.....the fracking may not start until after the well leaves yer land.
Hopefully you get $$$ from hosting the pad
jim I was looking at some of the declaration of pooling maps for north and south units on the same pad,it looks like all the units border each other. So you should get paid for everything as long as they drill on your acreage.
Todd. I am not concerned with the Doddridge wells. It is 4709502479 which is drilled on a 44 acre piece in Tyler.
I also have an interest on 70 acres of minerals in tyler county There is a 13 well pad on this property I think when all the wells are drilled the whole 70 acres should be covered. This pad has short run, centerville, graben, hex, and griff units.
Never mind that last question on the Tyler wells. Found the DoP and the answer is they pay us from the pad. Thanks again.

AboutWhat makes this site so great? Well, I think it's the fact that, quite frankly, we all have a lot at stake in this thing they call shale. But beyond that, this site is made up of individuals who have worked hard for that little yard we call home. Or, that farm on which blood, sweat and tears have fallen. [ Read More ] |
