Just curious...

I am in Liberty township and a few months ago got an offer to buy my royalties for 1500 to 1800 per acre, but they would do a more in-depth look if I was serious which "mite change the numbers" slightly....even tho I am not drilled or receiving any royalties ..talked to a landsman rite b4 I contacted them and he advised caution as there will be "significant" activity in my area in the "near future"....how about it, anybody else get an offer or hear anything or see any activity here in Tioga Co. ?

Yep!

Shell had planned to drill more Utica wells on the Showalter a few years back, and it's clearly a core location. So I think that this is a good decision by Seneca. I like Chatham and every township that adjoins it.

That would include townships: Westfield Clymer, Shippen, Delmar, Middlebury, Farmington and Osceola.

waiting for something to happen in Charleston Twp some day.

I should have said "parts of" those townships. Some look completely good, others just partially. And added northern Charleston too.

SENECA'S latest lease activity is evidence that Jack Young is correct.

Seneca's most recent investor presentation reveals some of their future plans

Would old permits issued to Shell still be valid for Seneca to use for new drilling, perhaps with some modification?

Seneca has already applied for new Showalter permits. What's optimal has changed since Shell laid things out, and Seneca will want to do things their way regardless.

Jack , do you envision more or less activity from NFG on the land bought from Shell ?

PS always found your posts very informative , thanks

My guess is that Seneca's future drilling will be almost entirely determined by the results they get from this year's wells. If the results are promising, I'd expect them to test additional parts of their core acreage position in 2022. If the results are poor, they may still try offsets to some of the better Shell wells, but won't be as active until/unless gas prices rise. Seneca is a great company to have this acreage and will be the last man standing, I believe. But unlike Shell they won't throw money around just because they can.

there drilling at showalter now.
