Introduce Yourself
We leased in 2008 with Range Resources in Lycoming County, PA. Had a surface spill with the well up the road that impacted our private water well and left us wanting to get more educated. After thorough research I realized there is a lot of misinformation out there and decided I wanted to work in this industry. After taking the Fit 4 Natural Gas course with Penn College I ended up working for ShaleNet and Shaledirectories.com briefly before obtaining employment with the Energy in Depth Northeast Marcellus Initiative. My boyfriend (the homeowner) now works for a hydraulic fracturing company.

Author: John Krohn, Energy In Depth

The Scranton Times Tribune published an investigative article with the inflammatory headline “Drilling Killing Water.”  Of course, a review of the article itself and the data underlying it show a much different set of circumstances than the Times-Tribune headline would lead you to believe.
