FrackNation Screening Sullivan County

FrackNation was viewed in Sullivan County, New York last week near the homes of some celebrity activists opposed to natural gas development – activists like Mark Ruffalo, who seems unwilling to actually debate the issue with knowledgeable folks who disagree with his opinions.  Read more at…See More

Currying Favor with Natural Gas Opponents

Natural gas opponents thought, for the zillionth time last year, they had found a game changer in Dr. Tom Myers report indicating it was theoretically possible for fracturing to migrate thousands of feet upward through multiple layers of rock but new research indicates the Myers study essentially defies gravity, science and hydrogeology and seems to have been done to curry favor with the usual suspects. Read more at…See More

Landowners Denied Access to Gasland Part 2

One of the landowners denied entrance to the Gasland Part II premiere in trendy Tribeca several days ago describes her experience. New York Senators go on Pennsylvania Witch Hunt

Over the weekend, I went on another of those Vera Scroggins/Craig Stevens tours of Northeastern Pennsylvania — as an uninvited guest, of course.  This tour was for the “benefit” of three New York State Senators from the New York City area, all of whom apparently knew little to nothing about their ghost-busting tour guides — and even less about natural gas.  It was, predictably, a fiasco.  Read more at…See More

Gasland Part Two Frenzy

Gasland Part II is coming and, like most sequels, it’s likely to be a dud. But Josh Fox says he plans on generating a “frenzy” to hype the movie, and it will find a receptive audience among those who want to clear out rural America so they can have it for themselves.  Read more at http://eidmarcellus.org/marcellus-shale/foxs-phony-firewater-frenzy-over-gasland-part-ii/19412/See More
