evan hastings said… Hey, I just saw where you posted about your land on Barker Road and that yo owned Shannons cave. I live in Quaker City and we used to hang out up there alot. Hope fully when they stripped all that they left the cave. When I was up by there last time it looked like everything around the cave was stripped but it might have been safe still.

Scott Cameron said… well that is more then what we will miss out on. horrible business ethics. i have a post on the belmont and guernsey sites on here trying to get input from others what oxford leases. maybe a landowners group against oxford? they lied to us also. we were told that the lease we were signing was an extension of what my wife's father started in 2002. not having a copy of his old lease and not knowing the language, we took oxford's word for it. later we found a copy of his old lease. it was for only 3 years, had sections crossed out, and was for only 58 acres.
Scott Cameron said… hey rob, yeah i am in talks with a lawyer as we speak. don't think we can get out of the lease, but maybe we can try and give them a hard time. i am just hoping we can find something in their lease to use as leverage. they waited almost 5 years to drill and now they just want to drop a hold'em hole. we got the letter about them wanting to meet with use. it is started in the lease that we all have to agree on the site, pipelines, and roads. that was put in as an other. the lease is horrible, but the common person did not know the language 5 years ago. maybe we can get the lease restructured a little, but i am not holding my breath.
they want to drill one of those 2500' horizonal wells. as that is what they told my sister-in-law. then tie us in with the well by track rock. no i haven't been up there in many years. i live in new concord. the property is owned by my wife and her 2 sisters. one sister lives on the property. their father was Frank Alwine or Cliff as most people called him.
