Updated November 8, 2011

This webpage is a little over a year old. During this time frame oil and gas leasing
offers have increased significantly.

As of November 8, 2011 the signing bonus has increased to $5350-$5800 with the royalty percentage at 20 % gross. Leases are being signed by several companies. The best lease terms are being realized by the landowner groups that offer their acreage through a competitive bidding process. I personally believe the money offers will continue to increase with time. The highest offers occur when landowners pool their land into contiguous units.

Presumably, all are aware that Chesapeake recently leveraged 25% of their leaseholds in

Eastern Ohio for $15,000 per acre by forming a JV with an undisclosed oil major.

CHK will assign a partial interest to raise cash to move into the drilling phase after lease acquisition. Gulfport already has an agreement to assign a partial interest of their Ohio lease holdings to Rhino Resources for the same purpose.

Does anyone have a local contact at Gulfport that i can speak with?

You can email me at stan.glover@yahoo.com.

Thanks

Does anyone know anything about CINCO ENERGY ??????

Cinco is an Energy Service Company that specializes in GIS maping of hydrocarbons.  For further detail go to:

http://www.cincoland.com/

I understand who they are, why would they be calling land owners asking if we have signed with anyone yet?

The best way to get an answer to that question is to ask them when they call. That said, they are probably compiling a database for a client oil and gas company seeking leases in the area. Getting the information from the landowner is significantly easier than going to the court house!

Generally speaking,

by having a service like Cinco contacting land owners who have not signed is probably a good indication that someone is interested in your gas/oil rights. The more competition by the interested parties the better the leases and signing bonuses. As many on this site have said, it could get interesting.

yep sell your gas to china they pay the best money! They dont have land owner friendly clauses.
I see there is a discussion on a meting that I hosted at the Twin City Sportsman Club with Jim as my guest speaker, I also posted in this site all about the meeting which was # 4 held there, and also stated it was open to all who would like to attend.  Jim did not charge, and i also have had several other speakers at all of the meetings.  We are trying to help those living in Franklin Township, and our surrounding neighbors.  He has been a great help to all who have attended.  It was a real negative to have him removed from this site, and i hope someone has a change of heart and invites him back,  he has all of our backs in helping Harrison County. Thanks for reading this post !

Rod, please see my comments below. You will note that the announcement of your meeting was not deleted from the webpage because it was an initiative that did not have a profit motive. For the record, I had talked to JRM about information being posted on this webpage and specifically mentioned what was appropriate.  This was some time ago and before his posts were deleted by the site publisher.

As an aside, someone should have answered dan a carson's question regarding your meeting.
I guess i thought when it said all invited, that was pretty clear, sorry, as you can tell my my very few post, we have had some internet connection problems when the weather is bad, and it has been stormy a lot the past few months, ( i use a air card )  Rod

Noted, but the question was “is the meeting open to the public”. Perhaps Dan wanted to confirm that there was no fee for attending. Also, I see you have an unanswered question from ray schmidt about your meeting. No one to include myself in getting paid to post. Posting is voluntary and much appreciated by those who come here seeking oil and gas leasing information.
