Belmont County Activity

Recently this group has a bunch of new members but still has very little activity. How about ALL members sharing what they know is happening in Belmont County. Have you or any of your neighbors signed a lease? Have you or your neighbors been approached with any lease offers? Do you know of any landowner groups in Belmont County? What issues have you had to deal with in this process? Is anyone looking a pipeline right-of-way leases? What terms do you want in your lease when you do finally sign and why? The more information we share here with each other, the better prepared we will all be when we do sign leases and cash in on the mineral wealth under our lands in Belmont County.

Hello Finnbear ,I know this is an old post but I wanted to show you this site with a good outlook on our acres in Ohio, The more publicity, the companies will be wanting to make good offers and move quickly so other companies don't gobble up what is left. A lot of people still need to get some good info so they hold their ground . The links to the articles below continue to support your message about solidarity.  We are currently in the best possible position.  The headlines are filled with news about companies like Cheveron, Anadarko, Hess, Exxon, Chesapeake, Gulfport, and others all with the same purpose.  To aquire leases in the Utica Shale Play.   Everyday that passes the market price continues to rise.   I plan to stick it out for a while,  it has certainly worked to my advantage so far.   I remember back in March when I was told by a landman that their is limited interest in Belmont County.

Your so right on this dave , I have read comparisons that our utica is as good as the Eagleford and at least as productive as the Bakken and just follow the values the average Eagleford is $20,000 plus 25% and the Bakken is $12,000-$16,000 ,and our production is just becoming known . and here in Belmont County we have a good triple the Upper Devonian, the Marcellus seems to dip into belmont county and sorta out both sides a short distance , then the Utica has all the Natural Gas Liquids which some places say are as valuable or more so than pure Oil . This sounds as if we have a pretty sweet area , Im sure there are some counties that will offer more of one thing than another as far as liquids amount still researching that , Im sure the guys with the good equipment know what is really going on . Like I always said Patience is a good virtue and in this case a real good thing to keep us joined together for the good of all of us ,and our grandchildren . Good luck to all don't let the pressure break you apart .

I realize this is a very old post, but I just joined and have small acres in Warren Twp-Belmont on the Goshen side of Warren, around CR100, could you help me contact the Smith-Gosen Landowners group.
