Recently this group has a bunch of new members but still has very little activity. How about ALL members sharing what they know is happening in Belmont County. Have you or any of your neighbors signed a lease? Have you or your neighbors been approached with any lease offers? Do you know of any landowner groups in Belmont County? What issues have you had to deal with in this process? Is anyone looking a pipeline right-of-way leases? What terms do you want in your lease when you do finally sign and why? The more information we share here with each other, the better prepared we will all be when we do sign leases and cash in on the mineral wealth under our lands in Belmont County.

PS - I am participating in the Smith-Goshen Landowners group, a landowner based, non-profit group. See http://hcolg.org/HowItWorks.html for an explanation of what a landowner non-profit is and how it works.

Depends on the lease. Does it have a renewal clause? Does it have a first right of refusal clause?

that is the truth , the people that leased early are feeling the sting but hopefully they will make up for it with their royalties and the fact they will be placed in a unit faster  .I have posted numerous details about the Eagleford shale being at $20,000 and 25% .I never saw the lease you spoke of but im sure it is there . Those leases are even no surface drill leases. As this gets more drilling accomplished the prices may go that high for those that hold out ,I guess they  also they could be force pulled if they wait too long and get just the royalties. I hope the laws are changed as I heard they will not be able to keep using this force pooling just to control the land they want . I heard  that if you are force pooled after the equipment is fully paid for from the production , the force pooled party becomes a part owner of the well they are connected with , we must all stay in groups of landowners to get the best control, it is a shame the governor did not announce this before and keep the entire state together to get the real value for all of the landowners
Mickqyver , he is on the side of big oil .
h bo, some of these posts are hard to follow, who is on the side of big oil?

thank you h bo, also I heard there was a meeting with Murray from the coal company and the governor said murray you will work with them , did you see any article like that ? mick

hbo can you say where you are located Im near bville , are you near somerton I think you said you had some wells before
Can someone post a source for the article about Murray and the Governor?
I am a landowner that signed with Marquette about 60 days ago- got the lease check Monday via UPS. I live in Richland Township a stones through from Kirk Porterfields pad- but we are in another 650 acre tract, and one is west of here Marquettte had wrapped up, the lines west of there. All contract criteria remain in force with Hess. We did $3K/16%, but that was 60 days ago- indicating just how favorable this is evolving for people yet to sign. I don't like going into banks, but this one was great.
Hello where is a well pad . Is that Porterfields near St clairsville?
Yes- from what I hear, he is doing very well. He owns what looks like around 400 acres, so he must be raking it in.
