It seems everyone I talk to that has 5+ acres has recieved a lease offer recent....especially on the South end of New Phila.

AIM, Sierra, and CHK  seem to be the most mentioned suitors.  Are all these companies

in competition....or just dividing up the territory?

There are 1000s of HBP acres in the area as well (no pun intended), So I suspect units are being organized and permits submitted (soon).

Where will the first well be drilled....and by Whom?

Mark....

Where are you coming by this information?  Are you a landman, O/G operator, landowner.......?

Thanks

This looks like a Jim Milleson website. Sign up folks if you want to make the hogs fatter for minimal value added if any haha

Nate....whats the well type being drilled on Beaver Ave  in New Phila.?  Bick property i believe.

It's a Clinton well. Finished up yesterday.

Wow...that was quick.,,,,,just saw the rig go in ....

How soon before you know how good it is?

The log looks real nice. We hope to have it in line sometime this winter, then we'll really know if it's good or not.

I haven't seen any increase in offers in  TUSC....will we not catch up to the 5K+ offers in neighboring counties?

Is Tusc less valuable than Caroll/Harrison/Guernsey?

Spring 2012 can't get here fast enough.....want to see the increase in activity I keep hearing that is coming our way.

yes, where is the boom that the so called "local newspaper" keeps speaking of?

come on man!

Look around the region.   Try to find a hotel room in Dover or Phila.  Try to purchase a piece of land with mineral rights.   Try to find commerical land for storage or a building of 20,000 sq. feet or more in good condition. I challenge you to find land with minerals for sale less than $4000 an acre in this region,if u do I will personally buy every acre.... This is only the beginning.....this land was at $2500 less than 7 months ago.

UTICA Shale will help the entire area.  Stark-Mahoning-Columbiania-Carroll- Tuscarawas-Holmes-Guernsey-Harrison-Belmont- Jefferson-Noble- Monroe and others like Coshocton-Wayne-Muskingum-Portage-Trumbull.

Run the numbers, look at the ODNR wedsite and the number of permits issued. Potentially 80 wells to be drilled by June in these above counties.  The pipeline companies[Midstream]are building miles and miles of pipeline, this will lead to the new processing plants possibly right in the heart of 922 ,Marathon is adding 10 new receiving bays for oil at their refinery,it looks like Wood County W.VA may get a cracker plant,New Martinsville is already building a processing facility.  New hotels being planned throughout the valley even in Harrison and Monroe counties.  The workers need camping areas so man camps will be built, then the catering, laundry and shuttle services will step in.  Everyone will see revenue increase.

The BOOM is here.

i believe you 110%

Im just saying bonus money and permits are lacking behind other areas.....and I want to keep tusc co info flowing.

what is happening in 922 land?

You're fighting an uphill battle when it comes to signing bonuses increases. It's all driven by the science and if Tusc has a few great wells then look out, prices will explode. However, if there are two or three mediocre wells then you'll never get to that $5K number. It's tough for landowners to know when to take the money and run or when to sit back and wait. Either way is a relative gamble. Personally I hope every county gets monster wells and this thing enriches people all across the play. I know that if I was offered $2,500/acre, signed and then the price doubled six months later I wouldn't be too steamed. It's found money and I'm pretty conservative with my finances, but that just me. Happy new year to all and God bless.

I agree....I'm not holding out waiting for that 5K upfront bonus....I'm mostly HBP.

I guess we will just have to wait until the 3 permitted wells come in.....I suspect they will be good...and then the ride will begin.
